Hello from Columbiana County. I enjoy fishing and am looking for a close public place to fish. I do not have a boat YET! However, I am looking for a small (cheap) fishing boat with a livewell. I do most of my fishing from the shore. I have not had much luck at Berlin Dam. Mostly during hot days or hard rain (could be why). Fished Berlin from 224 bridge and Route 14 Bridge. Looking for a good place to fish with the family. I also fished Bessemer Lake a couple of times and caught 1 crappie from the shoreline by the boat ramp from the main road (?). Most of my fish I catch is from private ponds and most of them do not like you to take many fish from the pond. Fished Beaver Creek near Gretchens Lock and no luck there either. Mostly use a live minnow with a slip bobber. I have Ohio and PA License.
