Although I have fished hard this year, most of my flathead were
30 and 40 pound range. I finally got a couple of trophy quality fish.
July 28 I caught this 56 pound female on a live gill. This
was the first 50+ flathead for my Troph-E-Cat rod.
Aug 15 I caught this 62 pound male on a live
bluegill. One of my older rigs of a fiberglass pole
and a Penn 209.
That flimsy rod about got tied around me as I fought this fish.
I gathered bluegill this morning and hope
to trade them in on a big prize tonight.
