from the breakwall's at lake erie to the route 82 dam in brecksville good fishing through out. there is a large number of holes that the catfish and smalies hang out during the summer and spring months. eye's can be cought on the northern part of the river. steelhead make a run up the river as well. fishing below the dam is the best but expect crowds during the summer months. it is a good river to wade in during low water times
The Cuyahoga River[6] (pronounced /?ka???h???/ KYE-?-HOG-?, older /?ka???ho???/ KYE-?-HOE-g?) is located in Northeast Ohio in the United States. Outside of Ohio, the river is most famous for being "the river which caught fire", helping to spur the environmental movement in the late 1960s. Native Americans called this winding water "Cuyahoga," which means "crooked river" in the Iroquois language.
